Plans to build a rail link between Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and the city have been delayed again.
The six consortiums interested in undertaking the work have requested more time to prepare their proposals although the government had hoped that work would begin in the second half of this year.
The 30km line is expected to cost around US$400 million and would link the airport with Manggarai rail station in Jakarta.
RaiLink, a joint venture between state-owned railway company PT Kereta Api and the airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II, is one of the bidders.
